Requirements for Fellowship Applicants
Applicants are required to have completed an ACGME accredited pediatric residency training program in the United Statesin order to be considered for a fellowship position. We do take applicants with H1 B visas for medical education and we will accept J1 visas. We have had fellows complete our program who have been foreign medical graduates in the past; however, our most recent graduates attended a U.S.medical school. The State of California requires that fellows obtain a California medical license before starting the fellowship program at Loma Linda.
The Loma Linda University Neonatal-Perinatal Fellowship Program provides training in neonatal-perinatal medicine in accordance with the general and the special requirements of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME, http://www.acgme.org). The certification provided by the Neonatal Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Training Program certifies the acquisition of general knowledge, skills and attitudes in all aspects of neonatal-perinatal medicine. Satisfactory completion of the training allows the fellow to take the qualifying exams of the American Board of Pediatrics in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine ABP, http://www.abp.org).
Applicants interested in applying for a fellowship position, please submit your application to ERAS: http://www.aamc.org/programs/eras/programs/start.htm.
